Carpenter

Salary: $32.50 per hour, full-time: 35-40 hours per week , permanent, regular    employment.

Requirements: high school, 1-2 years of experience in carpentry for construction, renovation, repair and maintenance of  commercial, industrial, residential buildings, able to work in noisy and dusty environment with bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking, handling heavy loads, physically demanding., personal suitability: accurate, judgement, reliability, team player.

Tasks

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments

Crane Service Technician

Crane Service Technician

Salary : $33.00 per hour , full time 40 hours per week, permanent , regular employment

Requirements: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, 7-12 months of experience,  some electrical /mechanical vocational courses an asset. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, Fall Arrest Protection Training Course,  Equipment and machinery experience: crane, overhead crane, hoists or winches .  Weight handling: more than 45 kg (100 lbs).  Personal suitability: accurate, reliability, team  player, organized,  with attention to detail.

Tasks

  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
  • Order parts and maintain inventory
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers’ specifications
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
  • Service attachments and working tools
  • Perform other routine maintenance
