Term of Employment:

Permanent Position, 40 hours per week

·        Permanent and full time position – 40 hours per week

·        Vacations: 2 weeks to start

Wage: $36.00 per Hour

Our Mountain House Furniture team is looking for a full-time Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. We are a small but mighty team with a lot of moving inventory that needs to be managed. We’re based in Calgary but have multiple warehouse locations around the province and multiple trucks to keep busy.  

Position summary

We’re looking for a hands-on warehouse Supervisor to take the lead of the warehouse team for this permanent position, keep our inventory organized and our shipments/deliveries coming and going smoothly.

 

Responsibilities Include:

        Coordination with transport companies, suppliers and clients

        Scheduling orders using our inventory management software (cin7)

        Planning and devising routes for the delivery staff

        Training, supervising and appraising staff

        Responsible for annual inventory counts

        Assisting management on planning for incoming shipments

        Overseeing incoming shipment

        Preparing and submitting reports and administering stock control

        Meeting with the management team for weekly logistics discussions

        Assisting with local deliveries as well as loading and unloading trucks

        Ensuring delivery deadlines are met in a safe manner

        Maintaining an organized warehouse space

        Communicating with sales staff on stock/inventory discrepancies

Experience and education

        Minimum of high-school diploma

        Prior experience with warehousing software preferable (Experience with Cin7 software considered an asset)

        One to three years of related warehousing experience

        Valid, full class 5 driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract

                   Experience driving a lift truck

                   Assembly of furniture when required
